Torchie
The theme for the GWJ 64# was illumination. I had plenty of ideas, however this is the one I decided was the simplest to make. Most of the assets are 8-bit, because I'm starting to learn pixel art, so small models and designs are a good start to focus on for me.
This game plays around the idea of the player being able to control how light the room is. In the menu, you can choose at which light level you want to play at, the darker the room, the harder the jumps become.
I've also added a volume control slider, instead of a mute button (what I've used in a previous game). This allows the player more freedom when choosing their sound level.
It's a fairly straightforward platformer, with a few difficult jumps. I hope you have fun playing!
